SABBS Boerboel Appraisal: October 11, 2026 flyer

How the appraisal works

  • Pre-register below and pay before the deadline. If too few dogs are entered, the event may be cancelled.
  • On the day, hand in your paperwork at check-in. Your dog is scanned for its microchip, measured with a wicket, and shown standing while the appraiser grades it against the breed standard.
  • Dogs must be at least 12 months old (18 months+ recommended for a mature result) and shown on a choke chain or narrow collar, never a harness.
  • Results are shared during the day but are only final after SA Stud Book ratifies them.

What to bring

  • A copy (not the original) of your SABBS Birth or Registration Certificate for any re-appraisal.
  • Your microchipped dog. It will be scanned at check-in.
  • Your signed & dated liability waiver (you sign the physical copy at the venue).
  • Proof of payment / PayPal receipt.
  • A completed DNA profile via Animal Genetics (animalgenetics.com), or arrange a kit with your host.

Appraisal fee: $125.00 per dog for SABBS members, $190.00 per dog for non-members. Pay via PayPal to accounts@sabbs.org.
